Project Description: 1. Expansion of the existing berm for the construction of the new aeration building. 2. A new aeration building consisting of a thickened edge structural slab on grade, including housekeeping pads with a wood frame superstructure. 3. Installation of mechanical HVAC systems. 4. Installation of new electrical distribution. 5. Excavate and backfill for the Aeration Equipment Supplier for the installation of preengineered aeration system. a. Includes Contractor assistance with installation of shallow air piping, valve boxes, and anchor winches. b. Aeration Equipment Supplier will install blowers and control panel in building, along with all process air piping and systems. Electrical connections will be by Contractor trade. 6. Demolition and removal of existing aeration piping and supports from Cell #1 and Cell #2. 7. Extension of the existing clay liner in Cell #1 and Cell #2 freeboard area. 8. Raising of the existing berm for Cell #3 that includes by placing and compacting new clay liner and common embankment in extended berm areas. a. Clay Liner source has two options for the Owner to assess as Provisional Items. Only one will be selected based on project funding amounts. Option 1 is to source clay from a nearby borrow site owned by the RM. Option 2 is to source clay from an approved alternate source that has clay that meets the Provincial Requirements for clay liner material. Engineer's Estimate: Option #1 - $2,247,873.60 Option #2 - $2,018,412.21
